About The Speedway: Every Tuesday night The Place in downtown Charlottesville hosts 1/27th scale RC (radio controlled) races. 1/27th scale includes Mini-Z, Iwaver, and Xmod remote control cars. Race nights are kept friendly and family oriented. There will be always be someone there to help with questions or just let you loose with a demo car. The Place stocks a variety of Mini-z's RTR (ready to run) sets and replacement parts. Race Rules Stock Mini-Z Iwaver or XMod PCB Stock 130 Motor Scoring Points will be awarded on the following scale. 1st - 10 | 2nd - 8 | 3rd - 6 | 4th - 5 | 5th - 4 | 6th - 3 | 7th - 2 | 8th - 1 The series will consist of 6 races with one drop for each racer. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 drivers.
